Road Trip from SG to KL!!

Hi all!!

I forgot to post about my trip from SG to KL!!

Anyway, the journey from SG to KL is about 3.5 - 4 hours. Depends on the weather as well as the time u departed from SG. We left SG at about 11 plus in the morning, reached KL at about 3plus n the afternoon due to the raining along the journey.

We were staying in Dorsett Recency Hotel in KL (Sorry forgot to take pictures of the hotel). The room is spacious n comfortable, but the basement car park is pretty pathetic. This hotel was a pretty good location for shoppers as it is only walking distance to Pavilion Mall and Fahrenheit 88!!

We had our dinner at Fahrenheit 88 :) My Husband's Favourite, Japanese food!!

After which, we went back to the hotel to rest....too exhausted from the driving.

On the following day, we went to the BIGGER mall...called the Pavilion Mall ;D SHOPPING!!!

 SELFIES~~

Take pictures like a tourist ;)

Sometimes when you travel with young children, especially in KL. Do make sure they are with you at all times. Put them in a stroller or carry them or hold their hands. Too many cases of child abduction here... I have friends who got 3 girls, don't even dare to bring them out on her own when she is here in KL for the weekend. Got to be extra careful :)

Lunch!!!! Yes, we are having Japanese food again... but this time round, is IPPUDO RAMEN!!!

Look at the HAPPY MAN's face with he sees his favourite ramen in KL

 Satisfied faces...haha!!

After some shopping..... is SNACK TIME~~

Good egg tarts from John king, HK!! Located at Lower ground floor in Pavilion Mall KL.

And how can we forget about...ICE CREAM~
Nitrogen Ice Cream!!! Also located at Lower ground floor, Pavilion Mall KL.

This place is so huge, you can actually be in here almost the entire day.
We discovered that there is this Tokyo Street at the top floor of Pavilion Mall KL!
Selling all Japanese Food, Fashion, Services, Accessories!

Dinner time!!! Okay, no Japanese food for dinner. Thai Food!!

 Thai olive Fried rice :)

 Sweet n Sour Tofu :)

Thai Green Curry with Beef cubes :)

Penang Foodies!!!!

Hi all readers,

Was away for a road trip from Penang to KL to SG, and back to Penang ;)
I know that everyone is excited to know what food is a must-eat in Penang itself. But honestly speaking, almost every stall you go to, the food quality and standard is there. So, I shall do some recommendations on which are the hawkers you should visit!!

For those who have been to Penang, would already have tried the hawker along Gurney Drive (Anjung Gurney Hawker). That is the touristy hawker place in Penang.

Here are some Penang Hawker place which I can strongly recommend :)

1) Northem Beach Cafe.

Address: 58 Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, George Town, Penang (*Opposite The Northem Hotel)

Opening Hours: 6pm to 11pm (Closed on Tuesdays)

The variety of food there, a lot. From local cuisines to international ones. There is a great sea view and live performance during weekend nights!

What is a must-eat there??

-Belachan-fried chicken (*Don't worry, is non-spicy)
-Chicken Chop
-Penang Prawn mee
-BBQ chicken wings
-Satay (comes in Pork, Chicken, Mutton)
-Handmade Peanut candies

2) Viva Food Centre

Address:
Lot 303, Jalan Tanjung Tokong, Tanjung Tokong, Penang.

Opening hours: 6pm to 11pm

The variety is not as much as the one in Northem or Anjung Gurney, but the Salmon Sashimi there is worth mentioning!!!

*Look at the thickness!!*

This thickness will get you crazy!! RM10 for 5 pieces of these chunks!! *Slurp*

What is a must-eat there??

-Salmon Sashimi
-Penang Prawn Mee
-Frog Porridge

3) Anjung Gurney

Address: Persiaran Gurney, Georgetown, 10250 Pulau Pinang.

Opening hours: 6pm to 11pm

The best located food centre you can find in Pulau Penang. Which also comes with big varieties. Everything you can think of will most probably be selling there. It is like a Shih Lin Night market, Taipei. As I've mentioned before, this is the food centre most tourists will definitely go to (next to Gurney Plaza).

Do make sure that you'll be there by 7pm. Because the crowd during weekends or school holidays can be quite scary. Unless you don't mind waiting and looking for a table. Please be aware that some of the tables a belonged to certain stores customers only (it's really competitive). There are different stores selling the same kind of food in Anjung Gurney. The food quality wise, is good! For my muslim friends, there are also another section from the hawker stalls selling muslim food :)

What is the must-eat there??

-Wanton mee (Meat Dumplings with Roasted pork served with egg noodles)
-Char kway Teow (Stir-fried flat noodles with prawns & eggs)
-Fruit Rojak (Malaysian fruit salads with a special dressing)
-Lok-Lok (assorted skewers)
-Muah-chee
-Penang Laksa
